Naked Raku vase 16.5cm

These naked Raku vases have been made with a white stoneware clay which has been burnished (polished) to make a surface that will best show the black and white contrast after they are smoked. Naked Raku has a slip and a glaze applied that then falls off as part of the process leaving the pot naked.

These pots are sealed inside with varnished, however they are not 100% water tight.

Recommended use; dried flowers or use traditionally but in a tiled, water proof surface.

The outside has been treated with a special wax.
