This is a taster session for something that may become more regular. There has always been a definite lack of men in my pottery classes across all the settings I work in, so I am offering a chance to be creative in a welcoming 'male' space that aims to focus on things that might appeal to a more 'masculine' mindset. It will be a chance to explore what it means for you to be creative. Basic skills will be taught, through individual projects as well as more open ended tasks. It aims to be a creative space that will encourage participation for those that might not otherwise choose to have a go. I realise I am appealing to stereotypes by using free beer as an incentive but if that is what it takes to bring otherwise reluctant individuals to come and have a go, so be it. Everyone needs the chance to fall in love with clay. There will be alcohol free beer available as well as a range of alcoholic options, also there will be tea, coffee and other hot and cold drinks. 1 free beer per participant.
