Raku texture vase (22133)
The surface of this vase has been created while it was still on the wheel. It has had texture added and was then thrown only from the inside. It was then raku fired with copper glazes and placed in dry sawdust post firing. This has produced the colours you can see.
Raku pots do not tend to hold water due the way they are fires and the cracks and fisures that are then created. You can seal them up inside with varnish shoudl you wiash to do so. It should only be hand washed if needed and left to dry. It should never be used to drink out. It should never be used in a microwave. It will be fine to put dried flowers in, or used as a cover pot for a plant in a plastic pot. Or purely appreciated for its complex and attractive surface.
